Plan ahead as Sydney Olympic Park will be very busy on Saturday with a combined crowd of up to 100,000 travelling into the precinct while multiple events take place at neighbouring venues across the day and night. Due to Planned Industrial Action this weekend, train services may run to a reduced frequency across the network and services may be cancelled at short notice. Visit transportnsw.info and plan your trip using travel apps before heading out on the day for the latest information.

Parkway Drive 2024

It’s been a long time coming, but Australian heavy metal pioneers Parkway Drive are finally coming home.

Inarguably Australia’s most successful heavy metal export, Parkway Drive formed in Byron Bay in 2003. The band will return to home soil this September for their first headline tour since 2018. They’ve been home since then but have exclusively headlined festivals, including Good Things 2019, Knight And Day in 2021, and performed at the inaugural Knotfest Australia in 2023.

“Australia, it’s been a while. To be honest, it feels like forever,” Parkway Drive vocalist Winston McCall commented in a press release. “We didn’t plan it to be this way, but then again, we didn’t plan on making it this far in the first place."
